This project entailed 4 deep raised garden beds, and 1 barn style green house.
Before any of my formal engineering training, my Eagle Scout project was the first thing I planned and led from proposal to finished build.
That meant scoping the project, getting it approved, organizing materials and a volunteer crew, and managing the schedule and budget through to completion — project management fundamentals I didn't have a name for yet, but that show up directly in how I run engineering projects today.
Completing the project earned me the rank of Eagle Scout, and later helped with earning the Vigil Honor for continued service within the Order of the Arrow.
